when you first turn on your phone, or whenyou pick it up after not using it for a while, you will be greeted by a lock screen. becausethe phone is a touch screen, if there was not a “lock screenâ€, you might accidentallycall someone by the screen being pressed when in your pocket.on the home screen we will see the time and date, the charge level, and the status bar.if we swipe our finger across the screen we will see the background move and it will unlockthe phone. at the bottom of the screen is a set of iconsfor commonly used apps. instead of swiping the screen to unlock it, we can touch oneof the apps and swipe up on the screen. if we do this it will unlock the app and immediatelyopen the selected app.
